1. Agreement to terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Trimowebsite, applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Trimo("we," "us," or "our"). The Service is available at https://trimo-may.vercel.app and associated domains.
By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian who accepts these Terms on your behalf. The Service is designed for students preparing for exams and general study; you are responsible for ensuring your use complies with your school or exam board rules.
3. Accounts and security
You may need an account to access certain features. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your password confidential, and notify us promptly at hello@trimo.app of any unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity under your account.
4. Description of the Service
Trimo provides study tools that may include, among other things:
- AI generated flashcards, lessons, and curated learning resources
- Study history and progress saved to your account or device
- Free and paid subscription tiers with usage limits
Features may change, be added, or removed. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, specific exam outcomes, or that AI output is always accurate, complete, or aligned with official marking schemes.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, other users' accounts, or third-party services we integrate with
- Scrape, reverse engineer, or abuse API keys, rate limits, or automated access
- Upload content that infringes intellectual property, is harmful, harassing, or contains malware
- Share account credentials or resell access without our written consent
- Misrepresent AI generated content as official exam board material or guaranteed answers
6. AI generated content
Portions of the Service use artificial intelligence (including third-party models such as Google Gemini). AI responses are provided for educational assistance only and may contain errors. You should verify important facts against textbooks, teachers, or official sources before relying on them in exams or coursework.
You retain responsibility for how you use AI output. We are not liable for academic penalties, incorrect answers, or decisions you make based on generated content.
7. Credits and payments
AI features (Practice, Learn, and Watch) use credits. New accounts receive a one-time welcome credit balance so you can try the product. Additional credits may be purchased through our payment partner Paystack in Nigerian Naira where applicable. Credit packs and prices are shown in the Service before checkout.
Credits are non-transferable and have no cash value. If an AI generation fails after credits are deducted, we restore those credits to your balance when the failure is on our side.
Money refunds for purchased credit packs are handled manually where required by law: if you have not used the credits from a purchase, contact us within 7 days. We do not offer money refunds for credits that have already been consumed. Duplicate charges caused by a technical error will be refunded.
8. Intellectual property
We own or license the Service, branding, software, and underlying technology. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial study purposes in accordance with these Terms.
You retain rights to content you submit (such as topics or questions). You grant us a license to process that content solely to operate and improve the Service, including sending it to AI and infrastructure providers as described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. You may stop using the Service at any time and may request account deletion by contacting us.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TRIMO AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100), EXCEPT WHERE SUCH LIMITATION IS PROHIBITED BY LAW.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory local consumer protections in your country require otherwise.
Disputes should first be raised with us at hello@trimo.app. If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, courts in Nigeria shall have exclusive jurisdiction, unless applicable law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your home jurisdiction.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may be communicated by email or in-app notice where appropriate. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
